The low ticket prices in AP is bothering the Tollywood industry, distributors, exhibitors and theatres. As a result of low prices, nearly 175 theatres were said to be voluntarily shut down and many might follow the path.
The distributors and theatres management in AP have decided to take up this issue to AP cinematography minister Perni Nani and accordingly they asked for the appointment of the minister. However minister Nani confirmed his appointment only to distributors and nearly 20 distributors are expected to meet Nani tomorrow at 12 Noon.
The distributors added that the statements by Tollywood heroes and producers are impacting them in every manner. In their meeting with Nani, distributors would urge the government to resolve the issue amicably and also hike the ticket prices with immediate effect because they are unable to run the theatres with current prices.
