RRR is left with just 6 days before hitting the screens all over and even a day less if we have to count the overseas premieres in. The team has been super busy in promotions for the last few weeks. The RRR trio held the pre-release events in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. But the fans of RRR had been asking about the grand pre-release event here in Telugu states. Is it happening?
There is no clue yet on the pre-release event for RRR in Telugu states. The director’s team or the producer has not spoken yet on the prerelease event and promotions in Telugu states. It is not actually about promoting the movie, as RRR already has an immense following among the Telugu audience and it needs no formal promotion. But the prerelease event of a big Telugu film is something that cheers the fans and keeps their energy up for the release ahead.
It looks like there are many factors that are stopping the makers from going for a grand pre-release. Along with the ongoing Covid situation, a grand event with a lot of fans at it will be a tough move, while the number of fans attending will be overwhelming for sure. There were rumors that the event will be held at LB stadium in the first week of January, though there is no confirmation about the same. The word also has that the team of RRR has already decided to go for a grand success meet after the release.
Apart from the prerelease event, there are some other issues the makers are contemplating with. It is heard that the distributors are asking DVV Danayya to revise the business according to the new ticket rates in AP. Well, on the positive side, the theaters that have been shut for various reasons in the last few days got relief with an extra 30 days time to resolve the issues. Also, the ticket rates in Telangana have been hiked according to the new GO, making a maximum of Rs 295 in multiplexes and Rs 175 at single screens.
