With RRR backing off from the release, all eyes are on Prabhas Radhe Shyam. Although the makers maintain that the film’s release is very much on for 14th January, there is a lot of confusion among the fans and trade around the film’s release.
With each passing day, Covid-19 cases are surging in the country and states are imposing strict restrictions. The latest state to impose strict restrictions are Bengal and UP, besides several other states. Since Radhe Shyam is a Pan India release, doubts are certainly arising. The case load in the US is increasing massively. Over 1 million fresh Covid-19 cases in the US in 24 hours. All these are worrying the makers of Radhye Shyam.
With theaters shutting down in Delhi and other parts of the country, these may affect the prospects of the film’s collections. So, the confusion around its release is still hanging. Also Prabhas and Pooja are not taking part in the film’s promotions which is adding fuel to the speculations of the film’s postponement. In fact, the film’s promotions have come to a standstill.
Many small and medium budget films that have announced their release dates for Sankranthi are eagerly waiting for an update from Radhe Shyam. Certainly, there is a big jostle for screens in Telugu for Pongal and it all depends on Radhye Shyam’s decision.
