After RRR, Rajamouli’s Next In Bollywood?

Published by

Apart from top league Tollywood stars, Rajamouli is now a go-to director for even several A-list Bollywood stars. Some of the top Bollywood stars have already expressed their wish to act under Rajamouli’s direction. Jakkanna’s craze in Bollywood circles reached the next level during RRR’s promotions in Mumbai.

After RRR, Rajamouli is supposed to direct Mahesh Babu in a pan-India action adventurous thriller. Even Rajamouli had confirmed his next with Mahesh during RRR’s promotions. But, it looks like there is a big change of plan ahead.

If the latest buzz in the tinsel town is to be believed, Rajamouli’s next project is going to be a straight Hindi flick. Apparently, the star director is planning to make a medium budgeted quickie, which will be going on the floors soon after RRR’s release.

The grapevine is abuzz that Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is the front-runner to play the lead role in the movie, although the project is still in its nascent stage. Ranbir’s respect for Rajamouli was evident during Brahmastra’s Hyderabad promotions a few weeks back. The actor pleasantly surprised everyone by touching Rajamouli’s feet to take his blessings. Rajamouli too admires Ranbir’s acting prowess, and he is also turning presenter for Brahmastra’s South versions.

If this project gets materialized as being buzzed, it will leave Mahesh waiting until Rajamouli becomes free. The Tollywood Superstar is currently working on Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which is scheduled for a summer release. He has not announced any new project until now, as he will be fully concentrating on Rajamouli’s film.
