Rana Daggubati’s long-delayed film 1945 has hit the theaters the other day without much noise. Audiences who went to cinemas seeing the stellar cast were shell-shocked with the film’s output.
Movie buffs were shocked to see an unfinished and half-baked product. While the film’s climax ended with a voice-over, what is more shocking is that Rana Daggubati didn’t dub for his role. The film’s post-production works were mediocre and the connection between the scenes was missing.
Many are wondering what really went wrong. After Baahubali when Rana’s craze was at its peak, this film was announced six years ago as a prestigious bilingual project with Tamil director Sathya Sivaa. In between, there was no buzz about this film. It lied in cans for longtime before seeing the light of the day.
It is rumored that Rana was highly unhappy with the way the film was shaped and that’s why he is said to have totally disowned the film. He hasn’t promoted the film and didn’t utter a word about this film during the promotions of his other films.
That’s why Rana hasn’t lent his voice for the role. It is also buzzed that Rana was not fully paid for this film which could be another reason for him to walk out of it. Overall, the historical drama 1945 turned out to be a disappointing one and became a history itself.
