Nagarjuna Akkineni is busy with the promotions of his next film Bangarraju. The film is the official sequel of Soggade Chinni Nayana. Interestingly, the actor shared the excitement behind doing the sequel, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. Talking about the character he plays in the film, Nag said that it is the Indian version of Superman.
“I fell in love with the character. I feel it’s the Indian version of Superman. Our own native and very village-rural version of Superman. A soul into a person and he suddenly becomes a Superman. It’s completely our own version,” explained the actor.
Stressing the fact that the rural films are working big time, Nagarjuna said, “The rural films have been working big time, people are little overwhelmed with urban films. I started noticing that the rural films are doing well in the Indian film circuit. For example, Pushpa is very slang and everything is rural. The same director’s previous film Rangasthalam is also very rural. Our original film is also very rural,” said Nag.
Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Daksha Nagarkar, Faria Abdullah, Ramya Krishna and others are a part of the film.
Anup Rubens is the film’s music director. Directed by Kalyan Krishna, Bangarraju is bankrolled by Annapurna Studios.
Bangarraju is releasing on 14th January 2022.
