Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu together completed hat-trick of blockbuster with Akhanda which is still making decent business at box office. Today, the film’s Sankranthi Samburalu took place with key cast and crew attending it.
Srikanth said, “Sankranthi began on December 2nd. I didn’t see such celebration in theatres in last few years. Everyone felt it like watching Lord Shiva on screen. People started coming to theatres with this movie. I wish to associate with Balakrishna for few more movies.”
Producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy said distributors didn’t bother him, though they faced losses with his last two movies. “Now, all my distributors are very much contended as everyone is in profits. One distributor requested me to run the movie during Sankranthi. It’s indeed a perfect festival movie.”
Boyapati Sreenu said, “Akhanda became a double blockbuster. Along with money, the movie gave a new hope. Balakrishna is the first person, who believes me completely. The story was written long ago, but he had that belief in me. Not just fans of Balakrishna, fans of other stars too are satisfied with the movie.”
Balakrishna said, “Sankranthi is the festival of farmers. We released the movie during un-season on December 2nd. Entire industry was in panic kind of situation. However, our producer dared to release the movie. Akhanda became Pan world cinema. I watched a video where people of Pakistan are talking about the movie. Boyapati and I believe each other. We will promise to deliver much bigger hits. Boyapati is pride of our country. I wish the industry gets good support from both the governments.”
