Director Sukumar is preoccupied with the works of Pushpa: The Rule, and the film is expected to go on floors by March 2022. The director will have a hectic year ahead as he is also looking forward to making films with Mega power star Charan and rowdy boy Vijay Deverakonda. Known for his raw village backdrops, top-notch characters, delivering commercial flicks without spoiling its authenticity, Sukumar is also keen on doing a Hindi film.
Talking to the North media, the director revealed that he is interested in making a Bollywood film and it will always depend on the script and opportunity. Sukumar, who is an inspiration to debutant filmmakers, says that he takes inspiration from many Hindi films. He also revealed the conversation he had with Bolly action hero Akshay Kumar. He said Akshay called him when he was in the middle of Pushpa shooting and the actor said ‘You have to work with me, come to Mumbai.’
Sukumar is clear in his thoughts that once he gets the right script, he would definitely make a Hindi film with Akshay Kumar. “I don’t wish to work with anyone in particular from Bollywood as it’s always the script that decides the actor. But, I would like to work with Akshay Kumar Garu once,” he said.
Talking about the Pushpa sequel, now that Allu Arjun is enough of a pan-India star, the film will enhance the actor’s all-India appeal. Also, Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil will have a bigger role in the upcoming part and it is expected to have physical and emotional fights between the duo.
