One super hit song is enough to make any composer or singer get a lifetime of popularity and that happened to Sid Sriram after he has sung the magical number Nuvvunte Na Jathaga from “I”, thus getting the much needed break. The US-raised Indian origin singer is not looking back since then as every blockbuster Telugu album these days is featuring at least one song of him.
From Inkem Inkem Kavale (Geetha Govindam) to the latest Srivalli (Pushpa) song, Sid Sriram has many blockbusters in his kitty. And today, one has to wait for his appointment such that he would come and sing their song in just a couple of hours.
Guess what, the singer is said to be charging anywhere between ₹ 5-7 lakhs these days, while recording studio charges and other expenses are to be borne by the producers only.
With his voice having that magic though some star composers complain that he misses out on ‘meter’ and ‘diction’ at times when it comes to Telugu songs.
And the likes of Thaman are making sure that he will be singing at least one song in a big movie, which is always becoming a super hit. As the demand went up, surely Sid is being chased by many, and as the demand rose, so is the remuneration.
