It was on January 12, 2012 Sunitha Tati, after successful stint in D Ramanaidu Studios, TV9 and Radio Mirchi, floated Guru Films out of her sheer passion for storytelling.
Ten years later, Guru Films is now a name to reckon with in south Indian media and entertainment industry, with memorable movies to its credit.
A happy Sunitha says, “What an overwhelming and impactful decade it has been for me! It feels like I have been able to put a strong 10-year anchor with my experience in this industry.”
Revealing her future plans, she says, “In the next 10 years, I aim to push myself to tell stories that are even more impactful, inspirational and insightful – all of this, while taking Telugu Cinema and Culture to Go Global and reach the international audience with quality storytelling.”
In 2020, Guru Publishing started working on Guru’s original story themes, starting with Ayurveda Chronicles. At present, Guru Films is working on its international project Arrangements of Love starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and the remake of the Korean film Dancing Queen, directed
by Ashwin Gangaraju. It has also lined up a few web series with leading streaming platforms.
