A few years ago, Puri Jagannath announced his ambitious project Janaganamana with Mahesh Babu as the lead hero. However, this film didn’t take off as Mahesh backed out from the project for the reasons best known to him.
Later, it was rumoured that Puri was planning to make this movie with Venkatesh. Even that didn’t happen. After that, the director kept it on hold and focussed on his other projects.
It is now being heard that Puri is all set to revive this project with Vijay Deverakonda playing the lead role. If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, this film’s shoot will begin next month in the USA.
Currently, Puri and Vijay are working together for Liger. We hear that this film’s entire shoot is wrapped up, barring a single schedule. Mostly, they may begin the shoot of Janaganamana after wrapping up the shoot of Liger.
More details about this project are expected to be announced officially soon.
Meanwhile, Liger is slated for release in August this year. Ananya Pandey is playing the female lead in this pan-India action thriller.
