Apparently, it is magnum opus RRR that introduced the trend of locking two release dates and then sticking to one, or maybe a new one. Treading in the same path even Bheemla Nayak produced stated that they are looking at two release dates. And now, Ramarao On Duty also locked Mar 25th or April 15th.
Taking on the same, some Bollywood and Chennai film critics who are surprised by these locking of two dates by big Telugu films have commented that it became fashionable to announce two release dates by Tollywood makers. As the film critic pointed out Ramarao On Duty in particular, newcomer director Sarath has responded to it though some haven’t noticed it.
“Not by chance but by no choice sir”, director Sarath tweeted to the film critic, thereby winning the hearts of many netizens. While some netizens commented that they are getting angered by the frequent changing of release dates, the director clarified that even they are working hard day and night to get things right amidst the pandemic and other pressures.
Some film lovers have appreciated the debutant director for the hard work and blasted the critic and others for making fun of the two release dates thing.
