Legendary singer Latha Mangeshkar who is famous as ‘The Nightingale of India’ passed away at the age of 92. She was admitted to the hospital after contracting COVID-19. Post her demise, there is a discussion in the media about the transfer of her assets.

Latha Mangeshkar entered the singing field at an early age. She crooned more than 60,000 songs in her career spanning over 75 years. Latha is unmarried. As she is the elder one of all her siblings, she had to take family responsibility after her father died when she was a child. In the process of settling her siblings, Latha spent most of her time singing and did not find time for marriage.

She stayed with her family members in Mumbai. There are no heirs of Latha who can claim her assets but there are reports that she already wrote her will.

Altogether, Latha’s assets value around 200 Cr, say the reports. It includes her residences, Gold, Lands, Rents she acquire from a few properties, and also the royalty she earns for the songs she crooned so far. An estimate reveals that she earns a royalty of 5 Cr rupees every year.

Latha’s sisters Asha Bhosle, Meena Khadikar, Usha Mangeshkar and Hridaynath Mangeshkar are also singers. They are well-settled too. There is a talk that Latha’s assets will be transferred to all her siblings. However, there is also another opinion that Latha might have written her assets to the trust she set up in her father’s name.

However, Latha’s advocate is expected to make an announcement on the same soon.
