The Telugu film industry has been quite unhappy with the decrease in ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh and restrictions on the shows. For the past few months, there has been a standstill over the woes of Tollywood pertaining to AP. The impending issues including the ticket prices are likely to be addressed. Earlier, Chiranjeevi had met AP CM YS Jagan and stated that the government is positive about resolving issues and a fresh GO would be issued. However, there was no development since then. Looks like, AP is finally going to address the issues of the Tollywood.
Cinematography Minister Perni Nani has met CM Jagan and briefed him about the requests of the Tollywood. CM Jagan is said to have agreed for some of them and have given the appointment for the Tollywood biggies to meet him. Minister Perni Nani has invited the Tollywood biggies to meet CM Jagan tomorrow at his office. Besides Chiranjeevi, directors Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas, producers Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and some prominent actors, producers and directors are going to meet CM Jagan.
As per reports, Tollywood personalities have sought max price of Rs 125 plus taxes for AC theatres and Rs 70 for non-AC theatres. It is buzzed that the government has agreed to slab the maximum ticket price of Rs 100 plus taxes for AC theatres and Rs 60 for non-AC theatres. But the government’s condition is to have minimum ticket price fixed at Rs 30. After meeting the Tollywood delegation, minister Perni Nani is going to announce the final decision of the government.
Meanwhile, AP is going to lift the restrictions of Covid including the night curfew. With this, cinemas are going to screen four shows as usual. It is going to be a huge sigh of relief to films like Bheemla Nayak, Radhe Shyam, RRR, Acharya and other releases.
