The much anticipated meeting between Tollywood industry biggies and AP CM YS Jagan concluded a short while ago. Post the meeting, Chiru and his team along with minister Perni Nani held a press meet and Megastar said that the issue is resolved (Shubham Card Padindi).
“For the past few months the uncertainty on movie ticket prices has been sorted out. AP CM Jagan had intentions of offering entertainment at affordable prices to common man and simultaneously he wanted the industry to flourish and make decent revenues which would provide livelihood to thousands of workers in the industry,” said Chiranjeevi.
In a relief to the small (budget) cinema, CM Jagan has accepted the proposal for a fifth show, informed Chiru. In this very meeting, Jagan reportedly asked the Tollywood biggies to set up their film studios in AP and Vizag to be the destination for cinema hub.
Chiru thanked AP Cinematography minister Perni Nani for mediating between the industry and AP government. Lastly Chiru informed that a fresh G.O. regarding the ticket prices will be out by the end of this month.
Superstar Mahesh Babu also spoke in this press meet and he thanked CM Jagan. “My sincere thanks to CM Jagan. He was extremely patient enough to listen to the concerns of everyone and in another week or ten days, we shall all hear good news from the AP government,” said Mahesh.
Prabhas’ speech was short because he was shy to talk. He thanked CM Jagan, Chiranjeevi and AP minister Perni Nani.
Director Rajamouli was amazed by CM Jagan’s knowledge on film distribution and exhibition sector. “CM Jagan was fully aware of how the distribution business runs and I was blown away by this. I would like to thank Chiranjeevi garu for taking up this issue on behalf of the entire industry,” added Rajamouli.
People’s Star Narayana Murthy spoke and he added that small cinema is dying because of big films that are capturing the theatres. CM Jagan was very generous to support small cinema and my whole-hearted thanks to him. Megastar Chiranjeevi deserves the credit here because if he wasn’t him, the issue would not have been resolved.
Lastly, AP minister Perni Nani was full of praise for Megastar Chiranjeevi. “When the controversy erupted, many spoke ill about the AP government but Chiranjeevi garu observed all the negativity and created a positive environment for the talks between industry and AP government. Chiranjeevi has a big heart and my heartfelt thanks to him for taking this smoothly. When CM Jagan proposed for development of industry in AP, from Chiru to Prabhas and Mahesh, everyone readily accepted and informed CM that they would discuss certain proposals and revert. From AP government’s side and as cinematography minister, we are ready for any kind of approvals needed for the industry biggies to set up their studios or whatever it is, in AP. We have to look forward from here, ” stated Nani.
