Not just setting up Corona Crisis Charity or solving the dates issues of big films, Megastar stood up during yet another crisis, and that is nothing but the tickets issue in Andhra Pradesh state. And this time, he proved without any scope for second thoughts that he is always a man of action.
At a time when Telugu Film Industry slipped into crisis, some criticized Andhra Pradesh Government big time and some just sided with them. But it is Megastar Chiranjeevi who took to Twitter first to express his anguish over the ticket pricing issue and requested the Andhra Pradesh Government to take care of it.
Later, when things are not moving as planned with some exhibitors reaching courts and AP Govt fighting with them legally, Chiranjeevi took the mega initiative to meet Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister. Despite the fact that AP CM received him cordially and spoke to him over lunch, saying, “Eppudaina Meeru Vacheyandi Anna Matladkundaam”, many sections of Tollywood criticised him for going alone. And later some dubbed his meeting as a personal one but had nothing to do with Telugu Industry’s well being.
Keeping all those brickbats and rumors outside the fencing, Chiranjeevi has made the AP Govt call upon a group of stars today including Mahesh, Prabhas, Rajamouli, Koratala, R Narayana Murthy, Ali and Posani, and CM Jagan spoke to them in person. After coming out of the meet, one has noticed how the likes of Mahesh, Rajamouli and Prabhas showered praises on Megastar for making this happen.
And Megastar too promised that a favorable GO will be issued in just three weeks’ time, thus giving the much-needed relief to Tollywood. Once the GO gets issues, surely Megastar’s role of acting as a ‘Big Boss’ during the times of crisis such that the needs get addressed rather than just making noise at TV shows and Public Meets will be quite logical and true.
With all due respect, Megastar Chiranjeevi is the true “Industry Peddha” and he proves it without even giving a single elevation shot to himself or his work. High time for Tollywood to realize this and work under his collective guidance rather than taking to mics and social media pages to express their displeasure of not getting invited to the meeting with AP CM.
