Despite released with low promotions and little buzz, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa has shocked the Bollywood trade. The way the film was received in North markets and the revenue it collected in Hindi despite competition from Spiderman: No Way Home and 83, has made B-town makers take South films seriously and look towards them. This indeed helping the other Telugu movies and the T’town peers of Bunny big-time.
With Pushpa, Bunny has earned fans all over the country. Until Pushpa, Bunny has strong hold in Telugu states, Kerala and Karnataka. Post Pushpa, he became a Pan India star. Not only in Hindi, Bunny now has got a good following in languages like Nepali and Bengali. Audiences are watching his films there too. Allu Arjun’s films will be released there too soon, say trade sources. Makers of Pushpa: The Rule are planning a massive release.
Amidst this, several Telugu films are making a beeline to release in Hindi. Many young heroes are wanting to test their luck with their films in Hindi with dubbed version. No doubt, Allu Arjun has opened the gates in Bollywood. While Baahubali paved the way, Pushpa cemented the market of Telugu films in the North.
