The long-awaited Bheemla Nayak’s theatrical trailer was out yesterday and fans were on cloud nine to witness Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s aura on big screens. However, a majority of them are upset with the outcome of the trailer, be it for sound mixing issues or for highlighting Rana more in the trailer. Expressing their dismay over PK’s less impact, several netizens started trending the original flick, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. In fact, its theatrical trailer is now getting more views as a result of the comparison.
Several questions arose after the trailer was out. As suggested by the original film, an insulted Koshy takes revenge on Ayyappan Nair by getting him dismissed from the police force. And the classic clash of egos, with both Ayyappan and Koshy attempting to outdo the other, is shown well. Earlier, Bheemla Nayak looked more like a solo hero’s film than a multi-starrer when PK was highlighted during the first look, promotions, and teaser. Even the title glorified Pawan Kalyan explicitly.
And now with the trailer, the makers have undeniably focused on Rana. The storyline begs to differ and it is hard to imagine this story with the other character being underutilized. Despite the fact that both are equal and real stars of the given plot, it seemed like a big-time confusion in Telugu, deciding whom to highlight.
The original film in Malayalam is a crystal clear depiction that it is a multi-starrer with two characters sharing equal screen space and powerful impacts on viewers’ minds. Here in Telugu, PK stood as a powerful one in the teaser, and with trailer, Rana, leaving viewers disappointed with missing elements. Now netizens are furious over how PK is shown less and are upset with the actor. Hope the film turns out to be a classic multi-starrer by putting an end to all these queries and giving the duo their due share of the credit on 25th Feb.
