Pan-Indian cinematographer Jaya Krishna Gummadi, who hails from Vijayawada, has carved a niche for himself in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi film industries.
A decorated cameraman, he has in the past won honours like National Film Award for Best Non-Feature Film Cinematography at the 56th National Film Awards, for his short film When This Man Dies and critics jury award for his diploma film Vadhakramam at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival.
And now, in yet another coveted honour, he has won Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award for Best Cinematographer for his work in the Hindi film Haseena Dillruba.
Another point to note about him is- In 2010, his significant contribution in cinematography to a Marathi feature film Vihir won Best Cinematography Award in Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Australia.
