AP Govt Effect: Bheemla Loses 10 Cr On Day 1

Published by

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s latest film “Bheemla Nayak” has released other day to a blockbuster talk and especially in B&C centers, the film is welcomed to a rousing reception. But then the controversial cinema tickets GO issued by Andhra Pradesh government, which was even called-off by the Court but still haven’t got any final verdict, has affected this film big time.

Forget about the massive collections made by Bheemla Nayak in Nizam which is a sort of record, but if one could recollect, Pawan’s previous theatrical release “Vakeel Saab” collected a whopping ₹ 23.6 crores ‘share’ from Andhra and Ceded regions in April last year. And now, Bheemla Nayak made just ₹ 14.5 crores share on Day 1 from the Andhra-Ceded region, thus clearly showcasing the impact of ₹ 10 crores loss due to the Government’s decision.

Though this controversial GO was issued just a day before the release of Vakeel Saab last year, distributors and exhibitors haven’t executed it then and faced the ire of the government as some theatres are closed.

Anyway, AP Govt has previously offered the solution of star heroes lowering their remuneration such that films would run at ₹ 5, ₹ 10, and ₹ 15 tickets. At the same time, they want to issue a GO of hiked ticket prices.

The enforcing authorities offered no care all these days at theatres, but all of them worked at their full potential to control the menace of Bheemla Nayak with even CRPF and other industrial security forces safeguarding theatres in Andhra Pradesh other day to eradicate black ticketing.
