Generally, actors shower praises on their director in the audio launches or pre-release events. But these days, we are witnessing a slight difference in the trend. Our Tollywood heroes are sidelining directors and started praising producers a lot.
Recently, during the pre-release event of Khiladi, Ravi Teja didn’t talk much about the director Ramesh Varma Penmatsa and stressed the fact that he signed the film only because of the producer Koneru Satyanarayana.
Just a couple of days ago, hero Sharwanand did a similar thing. During the pre-release event of his upcoming release Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu, Sharwa said that the only reason he did the film is its producer. He also didn’t talk much about director Kishore Tirumala.
Khiladi ended up as a disaster at the box office. Ravi Teja didn’t even show interest in promoting the film after the release.
Meanwhile, why are our heroes sidelining directors? Is it because they are upset with the filmmakers’ workstyle? or is it a new trend of keeping producers in high regard? Only they can answer.
Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu is all set to hit the screens on March 4. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in it.
On the flip side, even for the recent successful film Bheemla Nayak, the major credit went to the film’s writer Trivikram Srinivas.
