We are going to witness a huge festival at the ticket counters this week as the much-anticipated film Radhe Shyam is gearing up for release on March 11. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, this movie features Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles.
There are high expectations on this flick. Meanwhile, the fans are demanding that the makers should hold paid premiers on the eve of the release. That means it may have paid premieres on the 10th evening in the Telugu states, subjected to getting the approvals from the government officials.
Paid premieres are great sources of bagging huge openings at the box office because people are eagerly waiting for this film for a long time and they tend to watch it as soon as possible.
But we have to see if this formula works for Radhe Shyam because it is not a regular commercial film that relies on action and emotional sequences. It is a love story that is set in the era of the 1970s and 80s. We are hearing that there will be a few twists and turns in it which play a major role in turning the entire plot.
If audiences watch it early, spread the talk before the release day and reveal the twists, there are chances of it affecting the film’s run at the box office.
Generally, love stories don’t have much of a repeat value and thus, paid premieres may turn out to be a risky factor for Radhe Shyam in one way.
Considering these factors, we have to see if the makers opt for paid premieres or not.
