The Kashmir Files: India’s latest blockbuster

Published by

The Kashmir Files is currently the trending film in India. There was no buzz around this movie before its release but all of a sudden, it has emerged as one of the biggest hits in this year already.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files explores the exodus of Kashmiri Pundits during the events of the Kashmiri Insurgency. It features Darshan Kumar and Anupam Kher in the lead roles.

Darshan plays the role of a Kashmiri student who learns about the massive killings of his people during the insurgency. Kher portrayed the role of a Kashmiri pundit named Pushkar Nath Pundit. The veteran actor is getting huge acclaim for his performance in the movie.

The Kashmir Files had hit the screens along with Prabhas-starrer biggie Radhe Shyam. Though the latter stole all the limelight before the release and on the release day, the former started showing its prowess from the second day.

The positive word of mouth helped The Kashmir Files in getting more collections and shows across the country. The negative word of mouth made Radhe Shyam lose steam in many regions and it ended up as a disaster.

The Kashmir Files is running with full occupancies in most of the cities across India. It is being screened with English subtitles in South Indian cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

If you want to watch a hard-core realistic political thriller, you have to watch this film right away. Mithun Chakraborty, Chinmay Mandlekar, Prakash Belawadi, Puneet Issar, and Mrinal Kulkarni played the other pivotal roles in this movie.
