The arrival of RRR is just two days away and at this moment, many industry experts are thinking about how this film is gonna change the way we look at films forever. Because, humongous collections don’t matter this time, as everyone is looking forward to seeing how a real pan-India film would create commotion everywhere – including amongst the audience, trade circles, and filmmaking fraternity.
Firstly, RRR is the first-ever fictional tale of real-life freedom fighters that India has ever seen. Though many alternative history films have come up in Hollywood, Indian cinema never did an experiment with that. We have always lived with biopics of freedom fighters and only some of them have tasted success at the box office. If RRR clicks big time, then the thought process of some screenwriters and directors will be impacted and influenced big time.
The second important aspect everyone is looking forward is to the enormous budget poured into the movie, and how the budget is living up to the expectations. Because just putting up budgets alone won’t work and that’s the reason many big filmmakers and production houses have failed to repeat a Baahubali as they have immediately rushed to making such big films after that franchise became a huge hit in India. And the success story of RRR will be an economy, ergonomics and management class for them, for sure.
Then comes another important aspect, which actually teaches a lesson in marketing. Needless to say, RRR team has promoted the film twice, first in Bollywood during Jan 2022 and then on YouTube and other digital media platforms in March 2022. Rajamouli made sure that every social media page, WhatsApp group, media folks and memers discuss RRR. He has even made critics throw lots of satires at his promotion, and that is his way of promoting movies.
If RRR turns out to be the blockbuster it promised, then surely everyone’s mindset will be changed after looking at the phenomenal success of the film. Let’s see what happens.
