Rather than worrying about the film’s dismal performance at the box office, it is always best to think about what could be done to recover more money. That is what star hero Akshay Kumar gave a thought about “Bachhan Panday” as the film’s collection isn’t so great provided the fact that the content is average while The Kashmir Files juggernaut just killed it.
However, without feeling sad about the box office result, Akshay Kumar is said to have jumped into the scene to re-negotiate a deal with Amazon Prime Video quite smartly. In fact, the film was first sold for ₹ 60 crores to Amazon Prime and would be screened 6 weeks after the release. The latest buzz has that Akshay has worked out a deal that it will be screened just 4 weeks after the release date, and the OTT giant hiked the pay, granting a whopping ₹ 80 crores.
With the way Bachhan Panday is performing at the box office, even a ₹ 20 crores hike is a big thing, and we have to appreciate Akshay Kumar for working out such a deal. Previously Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab also negotiated a similar deal with Amazon Prime by Dil Raju and it looks like OTTs want to screen the films as early as possible from the release date such that viewership will be good.
