Whether it is Akhanda, Bheemla Nayak, or Radhe Shyam, the most talked-about part regarding these films is none other than the background score composed by maestro Thaman. And that made him stand tall like another hero in those films, and literally, some of those films ran well at the box office only because of his intense re-recording.
Guess what, despite the fact that many films have been released in the meantime after Akhanda, none of the background scores were as impressive as the ones delivered by Thaman. Now that Rajamouli’s RRR is coming, one wonders what will happen to Thaman’s glory now. Because, we have none other than the legendary MM Keeravani at the helm, while Rajamouli is known for extracting terrific BGMs from his elder brother.
Back then, whether it is Chatrapathi’s title track or Vikramarkudu’s BGM, surely Keeravani made his mark felt. And the re-recording work of Baahubali 1 & 2 is top-notch that people felt goosebumps just by listening to the sound design itself. Now that Keeravani’s work for RRR will be out in a day, surely everyone is waiting eagerly to see if he will take the crown from Thaman at least for a short while. Let’s wait and watch.
