Recently released hit movies like Bheemla Nayak and Pushpa took weeks to touch the might ₹ 100 crores share mark. While the total business of those films is ranging around 100-120 crores when it comes to theatrical rights sales in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Ceded regions together, it took them a full run to achieve the target.
However, just after the 4 days of run at the box office, the makers of #RRR have shared with trade portals that the film collected ₹ 150+ crores share from Telugu states alone including AP, Nizam and Ceded regions.
While the figures sound quite unbelievable, it is coming out that even some independent trade analysts also found out the same about collections. And collecting ₹ 150 crores in 4 days is no joke for any movie even if the ticket rates are hiked.
One wonders what would be some governments thinking now as RRR collected such a huge amount in 4 days. They say that next time they might not allow films to collect that much by implementing strict rules on ticket prices. All said and done, cinema is more powerful tool than anything whether to inspire, entertain or make business.
