Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh’s JGM – Jana Gana Mana had a grand launch in Mumbai earlier today. The launch was talk of Mumbai as Vijay arrived in a chopper wearing an army outfit.
Later, the star interacted with the Bollywood press and made some interesting comments about the future of Pan-India films.
“Eventually, these Pan-India films will be called Indian films in the coming days. It is the way forward. Our huge population is a con in one way and India’s strength. Hollywood films are made on bigger budgets and collect more because they are made in English which is spoken and understood by a huge population across the globe,” the actor said.
“I don’t believe they are more talented than our stars. Our stars are equally or more talented than them. They are bigger stars because more people watch their films and more people know their language,” Deverakonda added.
“For Indian films to grow big, stay relevant, and make films on a bigger budget, we should unite the country through cinema. I am grateful for Rajamouli and Baahubali team because they made it possible. Prabhas to Indian audience gave us the belief and made me sit here,” he explained.
“Like how it is happening in China, very soon, we may see Hollywood knocking at our doors to collaborate with us,” the actor confidently said.
