Thalapathy Vijay’s most-awaited film Beast trailer has been unveiled. It’s promising and Vijay is looking slick and stylish. However, Beast trailer attracted plagiarism allegations. Social media is abuzz that the film is inspired from 2009 American film Paul Blart: Mall Cop. The plot of Beast has striking similarities with the Mall Cop with slight deviations.
Mall Cop is about a busy shopping mall that is taken over by a gang of organised criminals. A mild-mannered security guard comes to the rescue. In the case of Beast, Vijay is a soldier who is stuck inside the mall and he takes on the terrorists who took over the mall. The plots of both films are very similar and this talk is widely going on in online platforms. Amidst the allegations of copy, Beast makers are yet to respond. Let’s wait and see what is in store.
Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Beast has Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Anirudh has composed the music. Arabic Kuthu from the film has gone viral. The makers are planning to release the film for 13th April clashing with the KGF Chapter 2 which is releasing on April 14th.
