It has become a norm for actresses to make belittling comments against South Indian cinema. From Radhika Apte to recent Raashii Khanna many said that south cinema objectifies heroines.
Raashii also revealed that initially she was called a ‘Gas-Tanker’ in the Tollywood circles and this forced her to work on her physique and become a fit girl. She claimed that people in the south are not seriously considering her as an actor and basic objectification is the main problem in the south. However, Raashii’s comments did not go down well and it did upset the Telugu cinema fans.
Sensing something fishy, Raashii clarified and denied that she said nothing against south Indian cinema. Through the blame on social media, Raashi added that some fabricated and misconstrued content about me bad mouthing south films is doing the rounds and she requested whoever has been doing it to stop it.
Finally Raashii concluded that she has utmost respect towards each and every language/film that she does and let’s be kind. Irrespective of the explanation the damage has been done and Raashii found herself on the wrong foot.
On the work front Raashii is doing ‘Pakka Commercial’ with Gopichand.
