Known for his dynamic acting and terrific screen presence, Kannada superstar Upendra enjoys a huge following in Tollywood. Back in the 90s, his films like Upendra and A are superhits in the Telugu market too, and later he continued acting as a lead hero before shifting to Sandalwood completely. However, the star hero revealed about he has one unfulfilled desire.
After Upendra’s directorial venture Omkaram with Rajasekhar became a superhit in Tollywood back in 1997, he was supposed to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi, can you believe it? “I’ve got an opportunity to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi garu under Ashwini Dutt’s production, but that film failed to materialize. That’s my biggest regret till date as I’ve never got to work with him later”.
However, Upendra felt happy for being close to the mega family as he has acted with Nagababu in Oke Maata (2000 release), and then with Allu Arjun in S/o Satyamurthy. Now that he shared screen space with Varun Tej in Ghani movie which is getting released in a day, the actor felt pretty excited. “I thank mega family heroes for continuously re-introducing me to Telugu people” he claims.
For Ghani’s Kannada version, Upendra has even dubbed for his role, and he requested even Kannada fans to watch the film.
