There has been an immeasurable virtual buzz around Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s probable weekend wedding. The paparazzi are busy clicking pictures of the wedding preparations which are clearly evident of wedding from the view outside the stars’ residences. However, when asked, both Neetu Kapoor and Mahesh Bhatt kept mum about the nuptials.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are reportedly set to tie the knot this week in the presence of their family and close friends. There has been, however, no official confirmation on the wedding date so far from both the families. The Rumour mill has been churning with speculation, from the dates (April 14,15 or 17) to the wedding location, which keeps changing from the Kapoor family’s iconic Chembur bungalow to the couple’s Vastu building apartment in Pali Hill.
And just ahead of the couple’s reported wedding, the actress’ brother (Kiran and Mahesh Bhatt’s) son Rahul Bhatt told AajTak that the date of the wedding has been moved to April 20. Rahul Bhatt said that the security concerns were one of the reasons behind changing the date. “There is no wedding on April 13 or 14. That is a sure thing. Actually, the dates earlier were the same, but after the information was leaked to the media, the dates were changed. Everything has been changed because there’s a lot of pressure”.
Meanwhile, the reported wedding venues – the RK Studios and the Krishna Raj Kapoor Bungalow has been decorated with lights and several trucks were pictured unloading carpets and tables at Ranbir Kapoor’s house Vastu. Also, outfits by Sabyasachi were seen arriving at the wedding venue. On the other hand, when the paparazzi asked Neetu Kapoor about the date, she said “why should I tell you?”. The whole reactions by Alia and Ranbir’s family members irked netizens and some also recalled how the couple once said that they will let everyone know before getting married.
