The first day collection records of RRR are untouched by KGF: Chapter 2, no matter how much hype the film has. However, the Yash starrer directed by Prashant Neel has touched almost couple of biggies in Nizam with its terrific Day 1 performance.
In the Nizam area, KGF 2 joined the Top 5 highest ‘share’ getters on Day 1 in Telugu cinema history. While RRR (₹ 23+ Cr share), Bheemla Nayak (₹ 11.8+ Cr), Pushpa (₹ 11.4+ Cr) and Radhe Shyam (₹ 10.8 Cr) are the Top 4 share collectors on Day 1 in Nizam, now KGF 2 joined them with ₹ 9.6+ crores ‘share’ collection on its release day.
Well, had the filmmakers promoted the film extensively rather than giving just a couple of interviews to a few Telugu channels, the film would have easily touched the collection of Radhe Shyam and Pushpa. With just hype and word of mouth, KGF2 has done the unbelievable thing we have to say in the Nizam area, while the lack of superhit songs is another thing that stopped the movie from becoming the Top2 highest share getters in Telangana state.
Also this indicates that even Telugu filmmakers should be careful of movies coming from other states now as they too could rip apart many records if they get all the ingredients right.
