Of late, South Indian action films are being received extremely well by the North Indian folks. The successes of the Baahubali franchise, KGF franchise, RRR, and Pushpa prove the same.
KGF, which had hit the screens the other day, has collected a gross of Rs. 61 crores in the Hindi belt, crossing the record set by Baahubali 2. That proves the craze of this Kannada flick in North India.
Recently, Pushpa was also received extremely well by the Hindi speaking folks. While the film got a mixed talk in Telugu, it went on to collect more than Rs. 100 crores nett. only in the Hindi belt alone.
Going by the response Baahubali 2 and KGF 2 got at the North Indian box office, Pushpa 2 is expected to do more business for sure.
There is a huge hype around Pushpa’s sequel Pushpa: The Rule as well. If the producers make the film on a grand scale, it can collect bigger than its predecessor in North India.
Many trade experts are already predicting that Pushpa 2 will break the day one records set up by KGF 2. While Bollywood makers are struggling to score proper hits, South Indian films are minting hundreds of crores in North India.
