The Telugu film industry lost yet another legend. Veteran director Tatineni Rama Rao passed away in the early hours of today in Chennai. He was 84. It is reported that he was suffering from multiple health issues for the last few months.
Tatineni breathed his last while undergoing treatment in Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai. He was born in 1938 at Kapileswarapuram village of the Krishna district. He made his directorial debut with the 1966 film Navarathri.
In his vast career, Tatineni directed many super hit films like Jeevana Tarangalu, Yamagola, and Pachani Kapuram. He also remade many South Indian films in Bollywood.
Noted Hindi hits like Sansar, Nache Mayuri, Haqeeqat, and Khatron Ke Khiladi were directed by him. Before becoming a director, Tatineni worked as an assistant director for a few Telugu films.
The entire Tollywood is saddened by the demise of Tatineni. Many celebrities are paying condolences to his family members. The final rites of Tatineni will be held today evening in Chennai.
