Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s Acharya is all set to hit the screens on April 29th. Koratala Siva directorial, Acharya’s Nizam theatrical rights fetched a whopping Rs 42 Crore. This is certainly a big risk taken by distributor Warangal Srinu who earlier pocketed profits with Krack, Naandi and iSmart Shankar.
But even Warangal Srinu tasted a series of debacles with Sharwanand’s Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu, Sreekaram and Akash Puri’s Romantic in the recent times. So, he needs to score success with Acharya to bounce back. Sreenu paid such whopping price for Acharya being die-hard fan of Chiranjeevi.
Unlike Chiru and Koratala Siva’s previous films, Acharya is carrying relatively low buzz. This is a great worrying factor for many of its distributors. After Covid-19 pandemic, Radhe Shyam hasn’t worked well.
Only RRR and KGF Chapter 2 managed to pull off well. It needs to be seen where Acharya stands. The makers are set to up the promotions starting with its pre-release event today. Let’s hope for the best.
