PMF’s ‘WITNESS’ With Shraddha Srinath

One of the leading banners in South Indian cinema, People Media Factory, which has carved its niche across Telugu and Kannada industries, has backed critically-acclaimed projects across diverse genres in the past including Oh Baby, Goodachari, Venky Mama, Kudi Yedamaithe, Raja Raja Chora and Bloody Mary. Their next is a film titled Witness, a multilingual starring Shraddha Srinath, Rohini Molleti in significant roles.

Witness revolves around an everyday crime in the city, which has happened many times before and had not created a ripple. Yet, for various reasons, it can’t be forgotten. The following investigation exposes the real faces of several gentle human beings. This multilingual, with the world of conservancy workers at its centre, presents a never-seen-before view of metropolitan cities and the invisible corridors of power lying underneath them.

The intriguing first poster of Witness, featuring Shraddha Srinath and Rohini in an intense situation, also has an image of a hand raising from a drainage pit. Shraddha Srinath, whose credentials as a performer need no introduction, has proved her worth across films like U Turn, Jersey, Krishna and his Leela, Vikram Vedha, is cast as an architect who goes out of the way to fight for a cause in Witness. Apart from Shraddha Srinath and Rohini Molleti, the film also stars Shanmugaraja, G. Selva, Subathra Robert, Rajeev Anand and M.A.K Ram.

The film is bankrolled by T G Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer. Deepak has cranked the camera for the film and is also the director. While Muthuvel and JP Sanakya have written the screenplay, Philomin Raj has edited it and Ramesh Tamilmani is the music director. The film, which will simultaneously release in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil, has wrapped its shoot and is expected to hit theatres soon. Witness also marks the Kollywood debut of the production house People Media Factory.
