Other day the Telugu box office witnessed three major small-budgeted films that have queued up to theatres. And these three films have tried their level best to make their presence felt, but in the end, only one of them actually got the real kick. And here’s how it actually happened.
Firstly we have Suma’s Jayamma Panchayathi banking a lot on publicity as many of Tollywood’s big celebrities joined the publicity brigade of this movie. From Pawan Kalyan to Nani, many promoted the film in various ways but nothing worked out for Suma in theatres. As the content seems to be pale and slow, the film hasn’t garnered a good talk.
Cut to another film, Bhala Tandanana which features Sri Vishnu and Catherine Tresa in the leads, it got huge attention due to RRR creator SS Rajamouli’s speech where he stated that the film is terrific. Despite such hype-ups, the film failed to click as the content seems to be as pale, routine, and logic less as possible.
And then comes the sensation of the week as Vishwaksen hit all the right chords with his prank video and TV9 incident that his film Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam got huge attention. Though the film is a bit slow and works only with a selected audience, the film got a huge response on Day 1 in terms of footfalls. Definitely, this is the work of a sensational promotional plan.
