This week, we are going to witness Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar in theatres. Meanwhile, there are a couple of big releases on OTT platforms too.
The Kashmir Files is one of the biggest hits of this year. Made on a budget of fewer than 10 crores, this movie went on to collect more than Rs. 250 crores at the box office. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, it features Darshan Kumar and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
The Kashmir Files revolves around the Kashmir genocide and the struggles of Kashmiri Pundits during the 1990s. This blockbuster movie will premiere on Zee5 on May 13. Apart from Hindi, it will also stream in Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil languages.
On the flip side, Thalapathy Vijay’s recent flick Beast will also premiere on OTT this week. This Nelson directorial will stream on Netflix and Sun NXT from today.
Beast was released amidst huge expectations last month. However, it got mixed responses from the viewers. It ended up as a loss venture at the box office.
We have to see how these two films will perform on the OTT front.
