Of late, every big hero’s film is getting a hike in ticket rates in both the Telugu states. Increasing the ticket prices for pan-India movies is understandable. But hiking the rates for every star hero film is unacceptable.
This makes the audience not enter theatres at all. Already, people are preferring to watch films on OTT platforms these days. So, producers should come up with affordable pricing to encourage people to get into cinema halls. Instead, they are hiking the prices and paying the price for the same.
Films like Acharya and Sarkaru Vaari Paata have been witnessing low occupancies even on the release day due to high ticket rates.
Star producer Dil Raju might have realized this fact and is considering implementing regular ticket rates for his upcoming film F3.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, F3 is a comedy caper that is targeted at family audiences. Keeping ticket rates affordable makes the viewers come to the theatres. It also helps the movie in getting repeat viewers if the response is good.
On the whole, it looks like a good move by Dil Raju. F3 is slated for worldwide release on May 27. Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Mehreen and Tamannaah played the lead roles in it.
