Both Venky, Varun Are Delight To Work With: Sonal Chauhan

Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer hilarious family entertainer F3 directed by Anil Ravipudi under Sri Venkateswara Creations is up for release on May 27th. Sonal Chauhan has played an important role in the movie and there’s a surprising aspect to the role. Here are excerpts from Q&A session with the actress.

How did you land up in this role in F3?
I met Anil sir while I was shooting for Legend. He was shooting for his film in RFC. I kind of bumped into him. That time he told me that he wants to work with me. Then, he was busy with his projects. Then, one day I got a call from him saying, I’m making this film F3. Would you like to do it?’ I said ‘of course’. I didn’t even ask him for the script. When it comes to comedy, Anil sir is the king. Later, he told me about the film. I had seen F2 and it was hilarious. When I heard the script of F3, it was much funnier and entertaining.

Why details of your character kept under wraps?
My character was kept as a secret even in the trailer, since there is a twist and surprise element.

What’s the homework you’ve done to play this character?
I obviously watched lots of comedy movies. Comedy is the toughest genre to act in. Anil sir told me not to worry much about anything and asked me to just come to the sets. Literally, I can’t get better director for my first comedy film.

How was it working with Venkatesh and Varun Tej?
Venky sir is somebody that I always wanted to work with. He is somebody we all look up to. It’s like picking that one box, you want to have in your resume. It’s an honour and privilege to work with him. He is a complete actor. I used to watch him act in front of camera, it was like delight. He is born to act. Behind the camera, he is just unbelievable. He is a spiritual and a positive person. He is always caring. He’s a producers’ delight. There’s so much to learn from him. Varun Tej is younger, but he is doing extremely well. He is a really nice, positive and friendly person to work with. Both of them are delight to work with for me.

How was it working with Tamannaah and Mehreen?
They already were part of the franchise. I was a new addition. They are very welcoming and very helpful. I have made two good friends through this film. Both are great actresses and they have done very well for themselves.

What’s your first impression and your present impression on Anil Ravipudi?
When we first met while I was doing Legend, this person is so positive and very nice. He is the same person now. His approach towards everything is very positive.

One memory that will be with you for long time.
My first shot of F3 was with Venkatesh. He made me feel so comfortable.

What are your next projects?
I’m doing Ghost with Nagarjuna sir. The shoot was already done. I did lots of action in the film. I’m part of Adipurush as well.
