Some heroines score a pretty big commercial hit with their debut film itself and they capitalize on it quite well. From Trisha to Samantha and Krithi Shetty, many of these beauties have successfully converted their debut success into a big career in the Telugu film industry. But then, few heroines like Payal Rajput who have scored big with their debut films often crush their careers with bad choices.
Despite the fact that she tried pretty hard to make things work out, “Arjun Reddy” fame Shalini Pandey is unable to work out things in her favour. Though she scored such a smashing hit on her debut, she failed to see it to her full potential and the rest of her Telugu films haven’t worked out too. And then, she moved to Bollywood, hoping that she could get a big break. But it looks like there is no relief as well there.
Apparently, Shalini Pandey pinned all of her hopes on this Bollywood debut film Jayeshbhai Jordaar which features Ranveer Singh as the lead. Produced by YRF, the film registered only 3.5+ crores nett opening, which is very low by all the existing standards. And with almost all the critics rating it below 2-stars and close to 1-star, there is no way the film could do magic at the box office. That must have hugely disappointed Shalini Pandey for sure.
Whether Shalini will stick around in Bollywood like a Taapsee and Rakul to score a hit there, or if she will come back to Tollywood is something that needs to be seen.
