As Rajasekhar’s movie “Sekhar” is all set to hit the screens on May 20, makers have organised a pre-release event on Tuesday with director Sukumar as chief guest.
Speaking at the event, director Sukumar said that it is the movies of Dr Rajasekhar that inspired him to enter the movie industry.
“Movies like Talambralu, Ankusham, Aahuthi and Aagraham inspired me to come to the movie industry. I got the confidence to enter into cinema because of Rajasekhar,” said Sukumar.
“I used to be jealous of my friend Krishna who is popular in my college because of his acting skills. But later, I became more popular in my college by imitating Rajasekhar,” revealed the Pushpa director.
Sukumar also praised Rajasekhar for letting his daughters act in movies as many celebrities tend to keep their daughters away from the industry.
Directed by Jeevitha Rajashekar, Sekhar is an official remake of the blockbuster Malayalam film Joseph and stars Athmiya, Abhinav Gomatam and Ravi Varma in prominent roles.
Jeevitha Rajasekhar directed the movie.
