One of the most unexpected films that are right now shaking up both Tollywood and Northern India as well with its promotions is none other than talented hero Adivi Sesh’s Major. The film is a biopic of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who sacrificed his life during the 26/11 rescue mission and is currently being premiered in various cities, almost 10 days before the official release.
A piece of news is doing rounds that the last 30-40 minutes of Adivi Sesh’s Major, directed by Sasikiran Thikka, happens to be quite intense and heart pounding. While it gives hair raising feel on one side, it makes everyone heavy-hearted after looking at how Sandeep and his team of commandos have actually saved people in the Taj hotel with their daring and risky rescue mission. After watching this film in Pune, war veteran Commando Shivraj EV of 21 Para Special Force, felt very proud and even raised Jai Hind slogans along with the other audience.
Shivraj lost his legs below the waist in a cold-mine blast during the India-Pakistan standoff in 2002, which was almost a war like situation back then. With such war veterans hailing the film, it looks like Adivi Sesh’s surgical strike at the box office is likely to be very hard from June 9th.
