Usually, production houses that scored big with a single film often try to repeat a similar success. While some producers like Arka Media kept silent after making 100s of crores with movies like Baahubali, some producers fired big guns and met with losses. Here is a new producer on the block who is neither getting tempted nor keeping quiet.
Hombale Films, the banner produced the iconic KGF 1 and 2, got India wide applause with their blockbuster film. Looking at the craze this banner has amassed with those films, surely many expected that they would run into Bollywood and try to make big movies there. But then, the production house is not getting tempted in that way.
Currently, KGF producer has almost eight films in hand which include Prabhas’ Salaar, Sri Murali’s Bagheera, Prithviraj’s Tyson, Jaggesh’s Raghavendra Stores, Rishab Shetty’s Kantaara, Rakshit Shetty’s Richard Antony and Sudha Kongara’s movie, while KGF 3 will take off a couple of years later. Guess what, most of these films are Kannada movies only, while they are doing a film each in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam as well. And these movies will be automatically released throughout the South as well as in Hindi.
Surely this is a talented move from the producer of KGF because going to Bollywood straight away or making one single ₹ 1000 crores project will not be a practically working out idea. And if at least three films click big time in this huge lineup, surely the producer will have his investment back in the pockets.
