With the remake of Telugu “Jersey” in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor as the lead, actually, producer Dil Raju stepped into Bollywood. But that happens to be a joint venture with Allu Arvind and Sithara Entertainment, along with a local Hindi production house. However, for his upcoming film HIT, the producer just took help but carved out everything himself only.
Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, Telugu blockbuster HIT featuring Vishwak Sen in the lead got remade in Hindi with Raj Kumar Rao as the leading man. While Sailesh wrapped this film and is also busy carving the sequel of the movie with Adivi Sesh, producer Dil Raju is now trying to bring Hindi HIT into theatres. And here is the twist.
While Raju is quite a popular distributor in Telugu states as he happens to be the king of Nizam as well as owns lots of theaters in the Vizag district, he has no hold in Bollywood. However, by signing a deal with popular multiplex chain PVR, the producer now wants to release the film HIT on his own in the Northern circuits. We hear that PVR is just helping with the placement, but Raju will be the real distributor of the film across India.
Well, if Raju scores big with this experiment, surely his production house might venture into Bollywood in a big way. Even the likes of Baahubali needed the support of Anil Thadani’s AA Films and the latest RRR and Pushpa needed Pen Entertainment’s support. Can Dil Raju do big at the box office without them in Bolywood? Let’s see.
