Back in 2019, star director Puri Jagan’s Ismart Shankar was released in theaters and till date, there is no next film of him released in theatres. His next film happens to be Vijay Devarakonda’s “Liger” whose shooting was wrapped in November last year itself. So why is this delay for the release anyway?
Apparently, Puri Jagan is known for finishing the shoot-part of a movie in just 90 days and will wrap the post-production in two months itself. But this time, it is almost 9 months since the shoot got wrapped and Puri Jagan moved to his next film titled “JGM” with the same hero, but “Liger” is not hitting cinemas. One wonders why is taking nine months for the post-production of this movie which was supposed to be released long back.
They say that Jagan has actually wrapped his work but it is producer Karan Johar who is carving more into the film. He is chalking down promotional plans for Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Panday, and coming up with many ideas to release the film in a big way. Meanwhile, he changed Vijay Devarakonda’s name to “The Vijay Devarakonda” and tried to create lots of buzz for the film.
As Bollywood’s release strategy is completely different, Puri Jagan has simply moved from Liger to JGM for the same producer and hero.
