Suresh Productions is not only a legendary production house in Telugu but also an iconic banner in the Indian film industry. Set up by D. Rama Naidu, this banner bankrolled various films in multiple languages across India.
Suresh Productions also set up Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad and Vizag. Recently, Telangana Minister Yerraballi Dayakar Rao attended the pre-release event of Rana Daggubati’s upcoming film Virata Parvam in Warangal. At the event, Dayakar Rao made an open offer to Rana.
He said that Rana should set up a studio in Warangal just like the way his father and grandfather had set up a studio in Hyderabad. Dayakar Rao also said that he would also get the land for Rana to set up the studio. Setting up a studio in Warangal will definitely boost film shootings in the city, but the question is whether Rana will accept the offer or not.
Suresh Productions is not active as it used to be in the past. The banner is rarely producing movies these days. On top of that, most of its films are medium-budget movies. Even on the distribution front, the banner is only encouraging small films and not any big-budget projects.
Also, the banner has issues with the government in Andhra Pradesh, and those issues are yet to be resolved.
So, Rana taking up this offer when his production house is not in its prime era will be a questionable affair. If he doesn’t accept the offer, will he face any issues with the government in Telangana?
On the whole, Yerraballi’s offer has put Rana in a fix. Let’s wait and see what happens in the coming days.
