Radhika Apte is one of the supremely talented actresses of Indian cinema in this generation. She is known for her work in films like Shor in the City, Pad Man, Andhadhun, and Kabali. In Telugu, she acted in films like Raktha Charithra, Legend, and Lion.
Radhika is outspoken and regularly points out the dark side of the film industry. In an old interview, she said that the Telugu film industry is the most male-chauvinistic movie industry.
In a recent interview, she stated that she recently got rejected from a project because she doesn’t have bigger lips or bigger breasts. Apparently, the makers selected another actress because ‘she looks sexier, and sells more.’
In another interaction, Radhika also revealed that she was asked so many times to undergo surgery for the betterment of her legs, breasts, nose, and cheeks. But, Radhika never opted for surgery to get roles.
She said that this mindset is the same everywhere. She hoped that things would change in the future if more women took on powerful responsibilities.
