Of late, production giant T-Series has been announcing a series of biopics. Now, yet another biographical drama joins the list. A film will be made soon on the life of India’s Coffee King VG Sidhartha, who was the founder of popular cafe chain Cafe Coffee Day.
This film will be based on the book ‘Coffee King – The Swift Rise and Sudden Death of Cafe Coffee Day Founder VG Sidhartha’ written by Rukmini Rao and Prosenjit Datta.
Announcing the project, T-Series tweeted, “T-Series Films and Almighty Motion Picture in association with Karma Media Entertainment are delighted to have acquired the AV rights to the biography of Entrepreneur par excellence and India’s Coffee King VG Sidhartha.”
It is heard that the makers are currently in talks with directors and actors. An official announcement regarding the entire cast and crew will be made in the coming days.
For the unversed, Sidhartha was a popular businessman and made his cafe chain Cafe Coffee Day a highly popular one across the country. He went missing on 29 July 2019. Two days later, his body was found in the Netrhavati river near Mangaluru. The cops declared the cause of death as suicide.
There is a dramatic rise and fall in his career, and it will be interesting to see his life on the big screen.
